Massive Battlefield 6 leak via Tom Henderson
As always, take this info with a grain of salt, until EA and Dice officially confirm everything..... BUT,
Today we have a massive Battlefield 6 leak coming from reliable insider Tom Henderson who claims that the game will be titled simply Battlefield and it's set in 2030s revolving around superpowers USA and Russia.
EA and Dice's long-awaited Battlefield 6 will be simply titled Battlefield according to reliable insider Tom Henderson who previously revealed details about Call of Duty Modern Warfare and Battlefield.
In a lengthy post , Henderson revealed a ton of new details regarding the setting, campaign, co-op, multiplayer and much much more.
So without further ado, let's dive right into it.
As we already mentioned, the game will be titled Battlefield, not Battlefield 6 as many of us assumed, and it takes place around ten years from now.
He states that the setting is very similar to Call of Duty Black Ops 2, which released in 2012 but its story was set in 2025, around 10-15 years from its release date. "So yes, expect military robots (Boston Dynamics?), drones, jets, helicopters, tanks and that sort of thing."
As for the campaign, the leaker stats that the game will feature a revolutionary campaign when compared to other previous instalments. Apparently, the campaign will focus on you and your specialist unit, where you'll be able to choose which superpower you fight for - the USA or Russia.
Interestingly, there are no good and bad guys in the game as you will be able to choose your own path. "Both the USA and Russia will offer to "recruit" your specialist team and their skills throughout the campaign, which will be a valuable asset to both sides."
Also, it appears that this year’s campaign could offer a co-op experience.
Multiplayers is described as Battlefield 3/4 on steroids with "bigger and better battles".
A battle royale mode is also on the way at some stage, which suggests that it may not be ready at launch. "The Battle Royale experience will be completely disconnected from the Firestorm name and instead will adopt a new name, probably for obvious reasons. Players will still be able to play as the 4 different types of soldiers, but instead of just having unique gadgets, players will also have different abilities, which are similar to Call of Duty perks" A Scout soldier might have silent footsteps, whereas an Assault soldier might be able to sprint for a longer duration.
As expected, the reveal trailer will not feature any gameplay footage nor multiplayer. "
[The reveal trailer] is somewhat similar to the beginning of the Battlefield V reveal trailer."
